Gearing up

Clark is working as a trainer for the fledgling football team at his school. They are beginning the program with a C team this year, so Clark and Mackenzie are too old to participate in playing. Clark will work as a trainer, and Mackenzie for his fall sport will run cross country.

I'm not sure I'm happy with the camera. I'll have to work with it more to see if it is operator error or equipment issues. But the pics seem very pixelated to me; very few of the ones I took today are even OK.

If you decide to give another camera a try, I'd recommend looking at a Nikon Coolpix. It'll probably be a bit more expensive than the Lumix but I think it would be money well spent for more mp, VR and the Nikkor lens. I've seen excellent shots from those cameras. Costco carries the S550 ($199) and the S600 ($240) online - they may have other models in store (S610 & S710).

To be fair, you'd probably be happy with a Canon Powershot too however, I've noticed that the Canons are a bit more expensive (when compared to a Nikon with similar features). And, I'll admit, I'm just a Nikon fan. :D

Just glad you're taking pics again.

I like this, it seems quite sharp -
but if you do change I think Sandy has the right of it, I am a canon person myself - simply because that is what I started with and like that the controls are similar from camera to camera and therefore I don't have to try and learn more new things - the canon powershot s series is great and I have found the s5 at amazon for
$350 or you could check adorama on line in their overstocks, looks like some good deals to be had.
