The benefit of insomnia

Is the quiet. And the moonlight. I saw this when I got up at 3 am, streaming through my front hallway, and knew I had to have a photo of it. I love the misty quality of the moon tonight.

And a self-portrait of a night owl:

Nice pics.
Interesting concept of posting a pic a day; your blog just increased its visitor count by one :-)

From sunlight yesterday to moonlight today.

You captured the magic, quiet stillness of the night, Beth. Very nice job.

(The moon was really nice last night; I took a photo but didn't have a tripod so it was bit fuzzy. I like it anyway, though. :-) )

Great night shots! I especially like the self portrait. That kind of lighting is something my cheapie camera absolutely can not attempt! I do hope though, that when my kids are as old as yours, that I get more sleep than you do! Seems you are up in the night often.

What a sexy photo! Sensual innocence. :)

Oh, and the moon is nice too.

The self-portrait was actually a photo of my reflection in the window behind me, not directly of me. It didn't even dawn on me until after this one turned out that I should have simply turned to the CAMERA (duh) and I'd have gotten more light!

These pics are both beautiful, Beth. I love the moon and tree through that beautiful window. I think the way you did the self-portrait, as a reflection, was very interesting-- and leaves a bit of mystery to it as well.
