He works, she works
I was at my dh's office this morning and took this shot, before coming home and snapping a shot of my workspace. (I probably should show, rather than my office/studio, my dirty kitchen sink, but this seems much nicer!) But when I'm sitting, this is where I am, and when he's working that's where he is for much of the day. It looks from these pictures that he is in a cramped space while I've got plenty of room, but I just focused on his immediate workspace....I'm not sure why I didn't get a better pic of his office...probably because I was trying to be unobtrusive or some such nonsense!
Something's wrong with my camera...the lens may need cleaning because I'm getting spots on my pictures.

Oh, what a lovely floor you have, my dear! ("The better to inspire creativity," she answers.) I'd love to see a close up shot!
I really like the photo of Bill at work, with his back to us and the view out the window. Very nice!
(I keep thinking of the question someone asked about whether we'd rather fly or be invisible. I said "fly," but now that I'm involved in this project, I think I'd rather be invisible, for the unobtrusive shots!!)
Ah! Love those deep, warm walls! Bill must love having a window close like that too.
Wow, I love that floor in your workspace. The walls are really close to the color of the walls in my living and dining room. Looks like a fun place to create.

What are those floors? They are incredible! You have such a cool house... again.
And I'm totally smitten with photos that show reflections. The one of Bill in his office is way cool. Love the look through the window.
I love that floor. I love the colors in your work place.

Neat shots and I like how you contrasted the work spaces. He has a great view from his office, and you have a great view in your office :)
I think you have a consensus here: We want a close-up shot of that floor! Better yet, how about a shot of the floor, so we can envy you, and a shot of the dirty kitchen sink, as a balance? ;-)
LOL Colleen...I'm sure I'll have a "dirty sink" picture one of these days...I'm still in the honeymoon of Project 365 where the world is idealistic or artistic through the lens. I'm sure the days will come when I HATE this project and I shoot the ugliest thing I can think of ...which may indeed be the kitchen sink overflowing!
But as for the floor...it is a Storehouse rug, and Storehouse is now out of business. But yeah, I love it and it makes me happy. Plus the rest of my floors are either whitish carpet or oriental rugs, so I like the contemporary feel of this one. Of course, in housebreaking my dog, this was his favorite spot to have accidents, and dang, they are hard to find on that rug. Well, hard by sight, not by smell!
Anyway, glad y'all like the rug!
weird. I know I commented on this last night but it's not here. Oh well.
I'll chime in that I love your workspace. I also like how you captured Bill in his workspace from the back.
And, I had guessed that the carpet came from Pottery Barn or Ikea but I see that I was wrong. I *know* I've seen it in a catalog somewhere, though, because i remember admiring it.
I absolutely LOVE your workspace! Now I want a chandelier in my art studio! =) And the carpet is lovely - I adore bold colors and your walls and carpet are just beautiful.
