Mom's 81st birthday, a two-photo day
I started my day taking mom out for breakfast. She had berries and stuffed french toast with bacon, and I had pumpkin pancakes topped with cinnamon apples and bacon. We had a very nice visit together...she's one tough cookie: though she's had several kinds of cancer (and currently has non-Hodgkins lymphoma) she has never had chemo or radiation, she eats incredibly healthy (well....not on her birthday!), and she's really a pretty young 81 year old.
I took this photo while waiting for Mackenzie at his piano lesson. The warm temps have some blooms starting to spring... I think this is quince, but I could be wrong.

Your mom is beautiful! Incredible that she has had cancer and no chemo. Has she done alternative treatment?
Sounds like a fun day for you!

Looks like quince to me, too You have a beautiful mom. She raised a strong, beautiful daughter as well.
Your Mom looks great. Happy Birthday to her! Your breakfasts sounded YUMMY!
That is a beautiful picture of your mom! She looks happy and healthy. I hope you guys had a wonderful day together.
Great pair of photos. Your mom is such a lovely suothern woman. All put together even at 80. Wow.
Wow, what a strong mom! If her birthday was today (mine is too), I just heard on the radio tonight that it's Rod Stewart's birthday too, for some fun trivia.
I love the contrast between the dead looking background and the flowers in the second shot - very nice!
Since when is eating pancakes and bacon NOT healthy?? ;-) Your mother is a very lovely woman.

Your mom is a pretty lady. I see your face in hers. Glad that you had a nice visit. :)
I love those blooms in the midst of all the bare trees. Spring in winter - it's the same here.
Does your mom live nearby? She's beautiful. That we should all look so good at 80. And wherever you went for breakfast, I want to go there!
