When a godsend is a God Send

This photo was taken this morning at 11:45. It followed at 3.5 hour "coffee" at Coffee Underground (do some of you who've visited me remember this place on Main Street?) This man is M's basketball coach/mentor/voice of wisdom -- M is on the left and dad on the right. Coach is exactly the person M needs in his life right now, and he has M's ear. He devotes his life to helping kids excel via basketball. I feel much more hopeful for the future thanks to him.

That's a cool way to record this moment with M. I'm happy for him and you. And it was fun to see an updated photo of Bill! His hair is so curly! That seems new.

Curly is old but long is new! He's started wearing it a lot longer lately. Not sure why! I guess it is just something different.

M. looks so much like your Bill... it's great. I am happy M. has a mentor in his life. I keep going around and around about M. and E. and even my own experiences and come back to the fact that I don't think counseling at that age would've mattered in regard to what I was doing but a mentor... now that's a different idea and one that I hope works for you.

I'm glad you're feeling some hope. Great idea to document this meeting. Hope it turns out to be a turning point for M (and you and dh).

Is that an iBook I see in M's hand? :)

Yes, his Christmas present was a MacBook! You, dear, would notice...
