Winter afternoon

M plays basketball in a gym located on the shore of this lake. Kinda weird, a gym by the lake, but I'm not complaining. As I round the dirt road leading down to the gym, I'm always happy to see this view...it's always late afternoon, and the sun is always shining on the water in this same way. It makes me feel a little bit more peaceful at the end of the day, like all's well with the world (or at least this little corner of it).

Today I saw a heron fly by, but didn't get a very good shot of it. So this tranquil scene will suffice.

Lovely, Beth. What a nice spot. I keep missing eagle and heron pictures. Some day...!

I like the muted colors in this one. So, is there a workout room that looks out on the lake? I'd love to workout in front of that view... or do some sort of yoga.

The winter colors are so lovely, and aren't the reflections just wonderful? I love water!

Dalissa, It's not a workout room. It's somebody's back yard! They have this fabulous lake on their property, and they built a complete basketball gym down by the lake. Why? Who knows! But they allow M's coach to conduct his clinics there. So we drive down their driveway, past the house, around the dirt road, and to the lakefront for practices. It's lighted and heated, and has several goals besides the two on each end.

I would love to have a gym right on a lake. What a wonderful spot. I wish I could be there.

This is a lovely picture. The kind I'd want to frame and have around me for it's calming effect.
