Céad Míle Fáilte

Today was the Irish festival downtown. Music, dancing, beer, food, and everyone in green, even the dogs. I'm offering a few more photos in honor of the event:

This looks so fun! Greenville is such a nice town. By the way, a friend of a friend is in town visiting from Columbia. I felt well-informed about her town, as I was able to discuss the phallic fire hydrant with her. Thanks! ;-)

Did I just use the word "town" three times in one short paragraph. Someone get this woman a thesarus! LOL

Colleen, could your friend's friend shed any light on the rationale behind the fire hydrant?

These are really nice, I love the little girl ready to do her step dancing, and the waterfall with flowers is really pretty!

Nope, Beth, she was as clueless as the rest of us. She's actually from TX and is teaching at & getting her PhD from the Univ of South Carolina. Maybe you need to talk to some Columbia natives to get the down and dirty on the story. I'm not kidding when I say I want to know what led to the creation of that thing!!!

I love how well you capture Greenville. It's inspiring. The dog is adorable. And the flood of people down the hill is terrific.
