Old Blue Eyes

This is the manner in which I usually see myself....just a quick check in the vanity mirror. Not much of a primpy kinda gal. Today I noticed that I do like my eyes. My teenaged son said I'm turning into "Emo mom" taking pics such as this, and he wasn't going to let me post it. Which is all the more reason to choose it.

What does he know? This photo doesn't scream Emo to me... now, if you converted it to b/w and made a sad face... now that'd be emo, imho.

I love your eyes.

I like this shot. I like all the natural frames and boxes and I love your expressive eyes!

I see wisdom and knowing and a healthy dose of skepticism in those eyes. I see determination and a smile.

You've got such a spunky look here. Love the look out of your eye and the lighted frame. Pretty blue eyes. :)

I like your eyes, too. And what's so emo about this?

Emo? Not sure I see emo here either. Does he mean because it's a self-portrait in a mirror, and therefore looks myspace-y? Whatever, it's a nice self-portrait. I like the concentric boxes around your eye.

Yeah, I think he thinks it's emo because it's a selfindulgent mirror shot and myspacey. Also he sees me taking photos of everything everyday and thinks I must therefore have an emo streak. I can't tell you how many shots I have -- since I homeschool him and and therefore am around him more than a little -- of his middle finger.
