Makin' bacon

This is what happens when we cook bacon in our house. Almost without fail. The guys finally told us today to just start making extra for them.

Ah yes. Did you see my 'bacon picture' from the other day? We have similar talents!
But...the picture below. It makes me want to paint. Just the colors and texture of the paint is so beautiful in and of itself.

Really? Does someone call them, or is your alarm hooked into their station? I can't imagine having a fire engine at my house, even if it does make a good photo. :-)

My alarm is hooked in, and the slightest bit of smoke (doesn't have to be burned at all!) sets it off. It is SO LOUD, and I never can remember the passcode to turn it off.... and even when it gets turned off, the fire department still comes.

The photo's nothing great, but I was way too embarraseed to take photos of them all suited out for ....bacon. So I snapped this from the window!

Lol... too funny. Next time come out of the house with bacon and biscuits or something!

I've never in my life heard of a home alarm being hooked in to a fire station. Is that the norm now? If the alarms get set off that easily, it sure must be tedious for the firefighters. (On the other hand, what else do they have to do except wash the trucks? LOL) Well, at least you can rest easily, knowing you're safe. We're on the other end of that spectrum...

That is hysterical! I bet that if you timed it right, you could have an entire big breakfast ready for them when they arrive, and then just tell your neighbors it's your way of saying "thanks" to them for protecting the neighborhood.

Oh my gosh! How hilarious! That would be a riot to actually prepare a breakfast for those guys and deliberately trip the alarm. Thgey'd appreciate it. :)

hahaha...lovely still life!

I have a security system here that is never turned on because, like you, I had so much trouble turning the darn thing off in a former house.

Just be sure and cook extra bacon next time. ;-)

That is so funny! We didn't have ours hooked into the station for just this reason! I'm TERRIBLE at remembering codes. If the panic alarm is hit, the cops show up and it is very embarassing because the neighbors start coming out of their houses to see what is going on...
