Derby Day
Due to our son having a car accident this morning (he's OK), we had to miss the Kentucky Derby party we were going to attend. So I donned my outfit and hat and tried to pull off an attempt at virtual attendance.
I went to a derby party last night (while prom ws going on) and bought a hat but it was a sun hat. I know nothing about the KY derby and was stunned to find out the race lasted 2 minutes! I had no idea! I thought there were lots of races or something. :)
You look great and I'm sorry you missed your party.
Now that is funny. I must admit I know so little about the Kentucky Derby. Only that CNN has had stories running about it because the Queen attended. And of course, like you, she wore a big hat. It's all about the hats, right?

I'm glad to hear your son is okay; hope it's a swift recovery from any slight injuries he may have gotten.
Virtual Derby is a great idea. Wasn't that an amazing race? From 19th to 1st in the last quarter of the race - remarkable!!
Why am I not surprised that your son had an accident? I'm glad to hear he's okay! I swear he is a cat or something.
Great hat! Sorry you had to celebrate virtually.
You look very Derbyish. ;-) You and the Queen.

Sorry to hear that your son had an accident. Fun hat, glad you are wearing it anyway!
I love the hat.
