I found out yesterday that Whoever says these things says that my city is one of the top 100 places to live in the USA. I always thought it was great, but it's nice to be recognized. Greenville was the only city in South Kakkalacky to make the list. :-) I was downtown yesterday taking pictures and thought I'd include a few in honor of the city's designation.
PEACE CENTER: This is a waterfall behind the performing arts center
PUBLIC SCULPTURE:
NOT A TOWN OF WINOS: Although to look at this sign, you'd think so!
OE MILL: this is a house near the now-burnt-down Poe Mill that I've featured before.

I really like your town! What's the job market like? Just curious. ;-)

Your town is really pretty. This project has brought home how much I never get out anymore. I keep thinking of all the neat little things I love about Louisville, but I never see them to photograph them.
I think the job market is good....I can't give you figures, but unemployment hasn't been high in years and all the growth indicates a positive job market. Where it might be rough is for textile workers who have not retrained as the economy has moved away from that industry.
What a great city logo! Love Greenville!
Thanks for the tour through Greenville. Isn't it great to live in a place that you connect with and to? I feel that living in the middle of NYC. It's as if I can breathe, I'm so alive here!
Thanks for the tour! Pretty pictures of a pretty town.
