こんにちは, Kitty

I'm not sure what the kitty's message or raison d'etre is, perched as she is and making her cute little fist on the counter of the Joy of Tokyo #3 restaurant.

Doesn't the kitty represent "good luck or fortune"? I see them at most Asian restaurants.

Yeah, I'm with sentient marrow. It's a special sort of good luck cat often found in Japan.

I need to get out more! I hardly ever go to Asian restaurants, because it does NOT agree with me. In a weak moment, later regretted, I went yesterday. So lucky kitties are common, huh? I thought maybe it was a Japanese version of Hello, Kitty. :-)

Hey, I had no idea the cat brought good luck either. I should spend more time in Chinatown.
