I went to confession tonight and this statue of Mary and Jesus was lit outside the sanctuary.

Beautiful! It reminds me of the moonlight we have tonight, with a 3/4's waxing orb casting light just like that blue-white tone on everything. It's very reverent.
This photo does look restful. The blue glow lighting their faces is nice and their expressions look peaceful.
Very nice. It certainly does say "rest." I love the lighting and the small outstretched hand.
I really like this picture. It is peaceful, and yet the resting is in the context of a strong mother.
"Comfort", that is what this statue says to me. I would probably frame that one and meditate on it when I needed some comfort and peace.
I love the way the statue almost completely fills the "Frame"(is that the right word?) because I feel like it's right there with me.
